I use technology in my own business, and I understand why travelers are turning to AI to help with their research.
But there’s a difference between gathering information and knowing what to do with it.

Let’s say you’re looking for an adults-only all-inclusive resort in Mexico.
You ask AI for recommendations, and suddenly you have a list of ten resorts that all sound wonderful.
But which one has the beach you’re hoping for?
Which resort has the atmosphere you’d enjoy?
Is that swim-up suite really worth the additional cost?
And is the information you’re reading even current?
That’s where my experience comes in.
I’ve personally visited and inspected numerous resorts throughout Mexico and the Caribbean. I’ve walked the beaches, toured the rooms, explored the restaurants, and experienced the atmosphere.
Those experiences help me understand the differences that aren’t always obvious in an online description.
Not Every Recommendation Is the Right Recommendation
AI can provide helpful information, but it doesn’t always understand the little details that make a vacation right for YOU.
Maybe you’re traveling with teenagers who want activities, but the adults want somewhere peaceful.
Maybe you love the idea of a smaller cruise ship but would be disappointed by the limited entertainment.
Or maybe the resort that looks perfect online has a layout that wouldn’t work well for someone in your group.
These are the kinds of things I consider when making recommendations.
What Happens After You Book?
Planning doesn’t end when you make a reservation.
There are flights, transfers, travel documents, excursions, deadlines, and all those little details that can be easy to overlook.
And when plans change or something doesn’t go as expected, having someone familiar with your trip can make a real difference.

I don’t see AI as the enemy of travel advisors.
In fact, I think travelers who do their research often come to me with great questions and a better understanding of what they’re looking for.
That’s a wonderful starting point!
